REL 391 - Seminar in the Study of Religion: U.S. Topics4 credits This course examines topics in the study of religion at the advanced level, focusing on religion in the U.S. Topics will vary. The course introduces students to the nature of religion as a defined area of human experience through beliefs, practices, and cultural identity. The course introduces students to methods such as phenomenological, thematic, historical, or comparative perspectives to analyze religious phenomena. May be repeated for credit as the topic changes.
