SOC 307 - Criminology4 credits An analysis of the sociological aspects of crime with particular attention to the theoretical definition and the statistical incidence of criminal behavior in the United States. Focuses on major sociological theories of crime, the analysis of homicide, and sociohistorical attempts to control crime and rehabilitate criminals. Prerequisite: SOC 101 or equivalent. Offered annually.
