REL 201 - Intermediate Topics in Religion4 credits This course examines topics in the study of religion at the intermediate level. The focus of this course will be on religions and their relevance within the United States. The course introduces students to the nature of religion as a defined area of human experience through beliefs, practices, and cultural identity. The course introduces students to methods such as phenomenological, thematic, historical, or comparative perspectives to analyze religious phenomena. May be repeated as topic changes.
