PH 201 - Public Health (Gateway Course)4 credits A survey of public health principles including epidemiological, environmental, cultural, behavioral, and policy issues that are relevant to the provision of health care. Selected topics on emerging diseases, intervention strategies, as well as the structure and functions of public health institutions will be covered. Topics are covered through readings, films, guest speakers, literature research and site visits. Enrollment priority: Given to declared Public Health Minors. Offered fall Semester.
