BIOL 102 - The Biological Basis of Human Sexuality4 credits An introduction to human sexuality, broadly defined from a biological point of view. General topics include consideration of genetic, gonadal, hormonal, phenotypic, and brain sex. Discusses sexual arousal, human sexual response cycles, contraceptive techniques, pregnancy, birth, and sexually transmitted diseases, as well as the biological contributions to sexual behavior. Includes a study of the relationship of the reproductive system to other systems of the body. Does not meet requirements for major or minor in biology. Offered annually. CLA-Breadth/Natural Science
