BBCL 606 - New Testament: Letters3 credits More than anything else, the New Testament is a collection of letters, and this course examines a substantial selection from the twenty-two letters it contains. Equips students with a variety of exegetical skills, the course resituates the letters in their original historical contexts; analyzes how the letters resist and/or conform to ancient power structures; and explores the letters’ transformative potential for contemporary communities of faith. Prerequisite: BBCL 501
