About the Program

The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) supports teaching, research, scholarship, and creative work that benefits communities beyond Drew’s campus. The CCE works collaboratively with partner organizations to develop Community-Based Learning courses and projects that foster students’ ability to connect academic learning with action in the world. At Drew, CBL classes contribute to addressing a community need or strengthening a community capacity that serves the common good. These classes require students to work with off-campus community organizations as a course requirement.
