CSOC 543 - The Religious Landscape of the United States3 credits This course is designed to acquaint the theological student with the general and particular landscape of contemporary American religion. Students read in-depth sociological portraits and broad overviews. Liberal and conservative Christianity is covered. In addition, students look at “sects and cults” in new religious movements and old religious movements such as Mormonism and Johovah’s Witnesses. Primarily for theological students.
