BBST 669 - Religions of the Ancient Near East

3 credits
Study of the religions of Mesopotamia (Sumeria, Babylonia, Assyria), Egypt, Anatolia, and Syria-Palestine (Canaan, Aram) through analysis of literature and archaeological remains. Special attention is given to general religious questions and to the interrelationship of Israel and other ancient Near Eastern cultures. Prerequisite: BBST 501 .
