BBCL 606 - New Testament: Letters3 credits More than anything else, the New Testament is a collection of letters, and students have the opportunity to examine a substantial selection from the twenty-two letters it contains. Equipping students with a variety of exegetical skills, the letters are resituated in their original historical contexts. Students analyze how the letters resist and/or conform to ancient power structures and explore the letters’ transformative potential for contemporary communities of faith. Prerequisite: BBCL 501 .
