BBCL 654 - Acts of the Apostles to the Ends of the Earth

3 credits
Among the canonical New Testament documents there is only one Acts of the Apostles. There are other narratives of apostolic activities within the wider Christian apocryphal literary collection. Students will have the opportunity to focus on the NT Acts of the Apostles but may also study Apocryphal apostle narratives. Through their major figures, students can glean an understanding of the contiguity of early Christian movements from Jerusalem to the “ends of the earth” including their contact with Africa, Asia, and Europe as early Christianity was shaped. Prerequisite: BBCL 501 .
