HIST 271 - Environmental History

4 credits
Explores some of the major issues in the history of human interaction with and concern for the environment, from ancient times to today. Examines changing notions of “nature” and “wilderness”; key moments in the history of human impact on the environment and in the history of ecology; and the origins and development of modern environmentalist movements.
