ENGH 356 - Anglophone Literature Post-1900: Advanced Studies4 credits Offers in-depth study of global English-language literatures of the twentieth-and twenty-first centuries. Topics may include: Globalization and World-Systems analysis; Old and New Imperialisms; transnational conceptions of race, gender, sexuality; the relationship between literature and global audio-visual media. Authors may include: Jamaica Kincaid, Kazuo Ishiguro, Amitav Ghosh, Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie, and others. Asks students to develop their writing through assignments that strengthen their research skills and their abilities to engage in literary-critical debates.
