WGST 385 - Applied Performance: Addressing Sexual Harassment, Violence, and Discrimination through Interactive Performance

4 credits
Exposes students to the field of Applied Theatre and Dance. Coursework may include the creation and implementation of workshops for the purposes of education and advocacy around the topics of sexual consent, diversity and discrimination. Students spend a substantial amount of time working with community organizations (such as Morris Cares) and conducting workshops in area schools and/or community centers. A substantial percentage of the class grade is based on the quality of students’ community work both in and outside of Drew and their ability to connect that work to the course’s academic content. Same as THEA 385 . Course is repeatable for a maximum of 8 credits.
