PSCI 217 - Political Participation in the United States Examines the way Americans participate in politics by covering varied topics that share a link to the interaction between the person and government. Considers the importance of public opinion, voting, interest groups, political parties, and the media with respect to this crucial interaction. With a solid grounding in these topics, students examine different means of participation, including elections, interest group membership, social movements, and direct interaction with policy makers.
