PSCI 314 - American Political Economy4 credits Explores the relationship between politics and economics in the U.S. Begins with a theoretical exploration of the relationship between democracy and capitalism and examines the differences between government and market solutions to collective action problems. Also examines the political practices of business, labor, and other political actors. Builds on the preceding components in an assessment with a range of public policies in the U.S. including, for example, economic policies, industrial relations, and employment policy. Prioritized registration to senior Political Science Majors. Prerequisite: PSCI 103 recommended. CLA-Writing Intensive
