LAT 320 - Roman Prose

4 credits
Delves into readings chosen from Cicero’s speeches from the courtroom or the Senate; the letters of Cicero and Pliny; and the histories of Sallust, Livy, Suetonius, and Tacitus. Studies their historical contexts, prose style, rhetorical techniques, and influence.  Course is repeatable as topic varies.  Prerequisite: LAT 201  or placement based on exam.
