LAT 202 - Roman Poetry4 credits Examines readings chosen from the love-poetry of Catullus and Ovid; Ovid’s Metamorphoses (one of our major sources of classical mythology); Horace’s Odes and Satires; and Lucretius. Considers the literary and cultural backgrounds of the works and their influence. Course is repeatable as topic varies. Prerequisite: LAT 201 or placement based on exam.
