HIST 212 - The Struggle for Equality: African-American History from 1860 to The Present

An examination of the African-American struggle for equality in American society from the Civil War to the present. Topics may include the relationship among gender, race, and class; the relationship between African-American leaders and the masses; African-American culture; urban migrations; the evolution of African-American relationships with local, state, and federal government; and contemporary issues.
