3 credits This course will use five genres of American literature to consider the representation of loss, bereavement, and resilience. We will consider poetry, novels, short fiction, essays, and memoir. Works by Faulkner, Dideon, Maxwell, Lynch, Oliver, Hirshfield, among many others.
