PH 352 - Global and International Health4 credits Public health concerns the prevention of disease and the promotion of health and well-being of populations through an understanding that human health is impacted by social, cultural and physical environments. This course provides an introduction to the concepts and basic principles that are fundamental for the study and practice of public, international and global health. Critical examination of contemporary public, international and global health challenges and current approaches to the management of these issues will provide students with a practical understanding of the complexities underpinning challenges to the health of populations.
