THEA 313 - Theatre Practice: Design- Sets Three or Four1 credits A study of the process of design through the experience of designing in the department’s production season during the second half of a term. Classroom discussion/presentation focuses on works in progress, with special emphasis on the problems of creating and executing a design for the stage; working with directors, other designers, technicians and crew; drafting and rendering techniques. Enrollment is required of all students designing sets, lights or costumes, in the production season, in the first half of a given semester. Theatre arts majors: up to two total credits of THEA 301-309, THEA 313, 314, 315, 318 or 319 per semester; up to a total of six credits can be counted toward the degree. Non majors: up to four credits can be counted toward the degree. Prerequisite: THEA 120 and THEA 220 (THEA 220 may be taken concurrently). Offered every semester in the second half of the term.
