THEA 210 - Theatre History I: Origins to the Renaissance4 credits An examination of the development of Western theatre from its origins through the Greeks, Romans, Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Restoration, in relation to culture and society. Also includes study of Asian theatre, including Japanese Noh theatre. Gives consideration to plays, criticism, theatres, audiences, performers, styles, and conventions of theatrical production. Prerequisite: THEA 101 . Offered fall semester.
