SOC 251 - Happiness in Contemporary Society4 credits An interdisciplinary course covering the scientific research on happiness. The course examines the impact of demographic factors, media, work and leisure, government policies, social ties, and personal characteristics on happiness. It has an experiential component; students will do some of the “happiness exercises” which have been developed and tested by scholars doing research in this area. Same as: ARLET+351.
