MUS 103 - Music in Context

4 credits
This course is designed to introduce students to music in its social and cultural contexts from the seventeenth century to the present. We will pay special attention to developing a basic music vocabulary and improving students’ listening skills, while acquiring familiarity with a core repertory by composers from Henry Purcell to Julia Wolfe.
