CSCI 345 - Mobile Application Development4 credits Developing apps for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Topics include the application life cycle, the model-view-controller pattern, GUI layouts, event handling, user experience issues, the adapter pattern, customizing an app for a diverse set of devices, programming with fragments, and connecting mobile apps to databases. A semester’s offering focuses on either the iPhone or Android platforms, but not both. A student who takes the course when one platform is emphasized may repeat the course when the other platform is emphasized. Prerequisite: CSCI 151 . Course Offering : Every Fall.
