ENGL 318 - Advanced Journalism4 credits
Students will build on the lessons learned in Introduction to Journalism including news, feature and opinion writing, journalistic ethics, and using social media and blogging in storytelling. this course will include long-form journalism, undertaking reporting projects, expanded editorial writing, magazine-style reporting, and multimedia storytelling. Students will study award-winning stories and projects and be encouraged to reach out to working journalists in the field. At the discretion of the department, may be taken twice for credit. Prerequisites: one of the following - ENGL 216 , ENGL 219 , ENGL 311 , ENGL 312 or permission of the instructor. CLA-Writing Intensive
