HIST 306 - The American Revolution4 credits The revolutionary conflict between the American colonies and the British Empire that produced an independent American nation, situating that conflict within dramatic social, cultural, and economic transformations in eastern North America in the late eighteenth century and addressing how contemporaries understood the nature and limits of revolutionary potential in the process of creating a new polity.
