ECON 325 - International Finance4 credits An exploration of the various theories of international finance. Includes a practical introduction to foreign exchange markets (forward markets, options, and futures)-how they work, how they are used, and how to understand published information about these markets. Explores the relationship between domestic money markets and international money markets in a theoretical context. Discusses the purchasing power parity relationship and the evolution of the contemporary international monetary system. Prerequisite: ECON 324 . Offered alternate years.
