ECON 241 - Global Economy

4 credits
An examination of the global economy focusing on economic geography, international trade in primary commodities, manufactures and services, foreign investment and transnational corporations, and the impact of regional economic blocs (such as the North American Free Trade Area) and treaties (such as the General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs). The course covers theory and institutions of international economic activity and current issues of economic globalization. Prerequisite: ECON 101  or permission of instructor.
