The Graphic Narrative (Novel) is usually simply described as storytelling in word and image. Of the several views taken in our study of the diverse depictions of human experience in the graphic narrative is the consideration of what may be a form of literacy enhanced by the medium itself, that of word, image and sensory ‘dialect’. Associated with this theoretical stance is Ricoeur’s idea concerning the significance of a story which issues from the intersection of the world of the text and the world of the reader. These views as well as those of sequential artists,
