EDUC 304 - Design for Instruction and Assessment

4 credits
This course provides a theoretical orientation to curriculum design and assessment. Students learn to design units aligned to state and national content standards using Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe’s Understanding by Design (UbD) as a framework. Students study current debates in assessment and learn to create and utilize traditional and authentic assessments for both formative and sumative purposes. Same as MAT 808. Enrollment limited to junior and senior standing.
