4 credits
The course focuses on developing students’ conversational skills in Spanish through an emphasis on the use of spoken language within the contexts of Hispanic media and theater. Text-, audio-, and visual-based authentic materials as well as selected dramatic pieces in Spanish will provide the basis for oral discussion and exercises centered on improving pronunciation, developing an active vocabulary for use across different communicative contexts, and increasing the integration of all the language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). Prerequisite: SPAN 301 , placement or special permission. Offered every semester. CLA-Diversity International
