MAT 862 - Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science
3 credits Mathematical topics central to the study of computer science: elementary logic and set theory, modular arithmetic, proof techniques, induction, recurrences, counting, generating functions, graph theory, matrices, Gaussian elimination. Meets: Weekly for three 65 minute periods. Same as: MATH+23 Fall semester.
