PHYS 330 - Electrodynamics4 credits A classical treatment of electrodynamics in vacuum and matter. Electrostatic and magnetostatic fields. Maxwell’s equations. Electromagnetic waves in conductors and non-conducting media. An introduction to the mathematics of vector calculus. Meets: Four hours lecture. Prerequisite: PHYS 150 , PHYS 160 , and MATH 250 . Offered fall semester in odd-numbered years.
