BBST 760 - Empire, Race, and Place: Theorizing Religious Identity in Context3 credits An examination of the formation and contestation of religious and ethnic identities in the context of the Roman empire. The course considers Greek, Roman, Jewish, and Christian texts and materials alongside scholarship from history, feminist and postcolonial theory, archaeology, and critical race theory.
