BBST 688 - Cross-Cultural Representations of Jesus

3 credits
Christianity around the world has produced a myriad of Jesus images. This course explores some of the theological, ideological, pictorial and mass media representations of Jesus that have emerged from the cultural appropriations of the gospels. Special attention will be given to the hermeneutics behind the images as well as their ethical ramifications. Prerequisite: BBST 511 .
