TPHL 663 - Theology and Theater3 credits
In this course we will study several plays with specific theological content such as Amadeus. We will use biblical and theological material, such as the story of Jacob and the Angel, as exercises in improv and as templates for writing scenes that will be performed in class, and we will examine the role that theater can play in the life of religious community. Throughout we will stress writing and the performance of original works. Prerequisite: TPHL 501
