DMIN 907 - Creative Homiletics: Preaching for Kardia, Kairos, Kainos1 credits
Post-modernity and globalization are rapidly changing the world and church culture. Today, people attend churches where they can feel and hear God. Many traditional churches are outmoded and fail to attract and reach the iPad, iPhone, iPod generation. This course seeks to prepare pastors for preaching in that iCentury Church. Students will tackle topics that deal with the heart of the preacher (Kardia), the cultural context and God’s timing (Kairos) and address congregational transformation (Kainos) through preaching (Kerygma).
