BBST 680 - Gender and Sexuality in the Bible3 credits Study of gender and sexuality in selected texts from the Hebrew Bible and/or New Testaments. Engages with the interdisciplinary field of gender studies, including such areas as feminist theory and criticism, masculinity studies, lesbian and gay studies, and the history of sexuality. Special attention is given to such topics as gendered representations of God, male and female roles and relationships, and homoeroticism.
Prerequisite: BBST 501 or BBST 511 .
