INTD 902 - Augustine Across the Disciplines3 credits Centering on his Confessions, this doctoral seminar will approach Augustine’s work from a variety of disciplinary perspectives–e.g., history, hermeneutics, literary criticism, philosophy, theology, liturgical studies, ethics. Students will be encouraged both to acquaint themselves with how Augustine has been engaged within their own discipline and to let themselves be challenged by other disciplinary voices. Knowledge of Latin useful but not necessary. Signature of instructor required for registration.
