ENGL 110 - Introduction to Media Studies

4 credits
This course offers an overview of the history, technological changes, and cultural and intellectual significance of media forms in modern culture. Media covered include print, electronic media (radio, television, film) and digital (“new”) media (internet, social media, mobile media). Topics include the nature and function of media, media and its relationship to information and communication, and social and intellectual aspects of media. Offered Annually.
