BIOL 103 - Microbes in Health and Disease4 credits An introduction to the microbial world with emphasis on the importance of microbes in human survival and well-being. Topics include microbes and ecosystems, biotechnology and microbiology, emerging infectious diseases, microbes as weapons of bioterrorism and warfare, and microorganisms as research tools.
