EAP 060 - Academic English VI

Development of advanced English language skills and strategies to prepare students for tasks based on academic content as encountered in university classes. The course will emphasize skills required to produce a university-level research paper. Students will evaluate and synthesize information from a variety of sources, including a library of online resources. Students learn to analyze, synthesize, evaluate and respond to information through class discussions and oral reports. Activities include group discussion, presentations, fluency exercises and practice developing compensatory strategies. Prerequisite: EAP 050  or by placement.
